Mondays @ 5:15 PM, Mat Pilates for Spinal Strength: Low back pain is one of the most common sources of pain for people. By learning to activate the appropriate spinal stabilizers, we can learn to support our spine throughout our daily lives. This can improve postural alignment and increase awareness of appropriate body mechanics to avoid injury. This class is of moderate intensity and requires a general fitness level including being able to easily move from sitting to standing, lunging, squatting and core exercises. The class is instructed by a licensed physical therapist! We only have adequate space for 10 participants. $5 per class.
Wednesdays @ 6:15 PM, 60 Minutes of Motion: This one hour class is led by Nate and will have elements of increasing muscular strength, cardiovascular strength, improving flexibility and will include some plyometric/jump training. This should be a fun and up-tempo class for all ability levels, but get ready to sweat. A general level of fitness is required including moving from sit to stand, jumping and being able to complete a few squats, lunges and pushups. We only have adequate space for 6 participants. $5 per class.
For all classes you are encouraged to bring your own yoga mat (although we do have a few loaners).
